🏕How One Day in Nature Changed Our Team: Team Building at SAQTEK
In the IT world, we’re used to solving problems through screens. Sprints, code reviews, calls—all of this helps us build work processes, but it doesn’t always build relationships. That’s why at Saqtek, we decided it was time to get away from our monitors and spend a day together at a recreation center.
Why did we need this?
Our team is growing. New people are joining, new connections are being formed. And while everything was going smoothly in work chats, we wanted colleagues from different departments to get to know each other better.
What did we do?
We gathered 12 people and went out of town. No laptops, no deadlines—just the team and fresh air..
🥩 We cooked together – shashlik and kazan kebab. Someone was in charge of the grill, someone was in charge of slicing, and someone simply “provided moral support.”
🎳 Bowling – healthy competition and lots of laughter. It turned out that our team of engineers are hidden champions when it comes to strikes.
⚽️ Football – a classic that always works.
🏊 Swimming pool – the best way to relax after activities. Informal conversations by the water often turn out to be more productive than any meetings.
🃏 Poker and board games are the evening part of the program.
After this day, we noticed the emergence of inside jokes and stories that bring people together better than any corporate slogan.
At SAQTEK, we believe: a strong product is created by a strong team. And a strong team is not just about professionalism – it’s also about trust, mutual understanding, and shared values.
If you’ve been thinking about team‑building for your team for a long time, just do it. Sometimes one day outdoors is worth more than dozens of strategic meetings. 🌿
